Cupp, who was named the 1992 Golf Architect of the year by Golf World Magazine, originally planned the course on a computer that resulted in a finished product of straight lines, unusual shapes and many sharp angles. The course seems traditional when you are playing it but as you look closer there are many challenges created by the design. Ranked as one of the tougher courses on the Island with a slope rating of 144, the course is very playable for all levels of players from low to high handicaps. Walking is permitted on this course. The course from the back tees measures 7079 yards and from the forward tees it is 5220 yards long.
