Having appeared on Golf Digest's list of America's 100 best, the George
Fazio Course offers a stimulating challenge to avid golfers. With only
two par-5s, the heart of the course lies in a series of long par-4s, beginning
with the 432-yard first hole and ending with the 462-yard 18th. The fairways
are open and roll gently on the front nine, while the back nine becomes
tighter and more severe, demanding good position off the tee. Demanding a combination of length and precision play, the Fazio Course
is an exhilarating layout regarded by many as the island's truest championship
challenge. Sixteen of the course's tees and greens were rebuilt in the
summer of 1994 to help restore its original excellence. In addition, the
course is maintained in prime condition, and walking is permitted. |
